Managed SD-WAN Services

Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) is an established technology, with various vendors offering their own versions. We leverage SD-WAN to deliver a range of features designed to maximise uptime, enhance performance, and support compliance. Some of these features include the following:

Virtual Overlay Network

SD-WAN creates an encrypted virtual layer on top of the physical connectivity layer, providing secure access to other client sites, remote users, and cloud-based applications.

Dynamic Path Selection

Based on real-time network conditions (latency, jitter, packet loss) and predefined policies, our managed SD-WAN services can intelligently choose the best available path for each application’s traffic. For resilience, if one connection becomes congested or fails, it can automatically reroute traffic to another available path.

Security

SD-WAN solutions can include additional security features commonly associated with traditional firewalls — as SD-WAN utilises firewalls in most cases — such as intrusion prevention, anti-malware, application control, ATP, and URL filtering.

Centralised Control and Management

Our centralised interface allows us to define and apply network policies across the entire WAN. This simplifies configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Application-Aware Routing

SD-WAN understands the specific requirements of different applications. For example, it can prioritise real-time traffic like voice or video calls over less critical traffic like software updates, ensuring optimal performance for business-critical applications.
