We are seeking a high-performing, self-motivated individual to join our Finance team. We are looking for a Reporting and Tax Accountant who has experience in corporate tax, with working knowledge of other accounting disciplines.

What does the role involve?

  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and financial commentary each month on time and reporting results to the management team.
  • Responsible for the review and accuracy of year-end tax returns with a view to potentially bring production in house.
  • Manage and pay the VAT returns as per HMRC requirements.
  • Manage and pay the P11D and PAYE process as per HMRC requirements.
  • Assist and work with the external auditors as and when required.
  • Review financial data and prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.
  • Ensure financial controls, processes and risks are followed in accordance with those set.
  • Work with the Head of Reporting to identify potential process and control weaknesses.
  • Review and management of the outsourced payroll function and subsequent pay runs.
  • Review of projects against budget to ensure billing and classification accuracy.
  • Support the function in a transformation to SAP ByDesign.
  • Assist and advise on tax strategy moving forwards.
  • Manage and file EMI scheme disclosures.

  • Great analytical and organisation skills.

You will need to have the following relevant technical skills and demonstrable experience:

  • New qualified ACCA, ACA or CTA (a strong part qualified candidate will be considered)
  • Practice background with a blend of tax and accounting experience advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Excel (Pivot, vlookup, sumif etc)
  • Good knowledge of Sage Accounts 200 and/or SAP ByDesign advantageous
  • Proactive & organised with a good attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • EMI / share based payment knowledge preferable
